Too Good Not To Share.

Oh fuck it.

{See Below}

"Everyone that I love deserves a holiday, in the sun, almost everyday, until the lions are off of their backs"

&

"So celebrate we are lovers and we are fighters, so celebrate to live one more round, so celebrate all your friends and your fuckers, because I know in my heart it's going to be alright"

{How good would that last song be if you heard them doing it live with David Berman helping out?}

The End of Winter.

Outside Love

{This shit has been ruling my life for the last couple of weeks, thanks to an advance copy for review. I could link a download, but I'd feel bad. Hypocrite. That's what Google's for anyway}

Nope.

{No show photos. At least not until I go back. Playing around with old expired film = nothing to develop}

M.B

In keeping with the theme...

The poster from the OFR Store/Gallery show (there were some free ones floating around The Journal show).

Hopefully some photos from the show later...

Working.

{Sorry for no weekend updates. 2 films at the lab - ha, CVS - so expect some stuff later on today. The Mark Borthwick show at The Journal Gallery is amazing. Stopped by on Saturday. He's playing another show there tonight at 8pm and on Friday, and Sunday this week. Gonna make it to one of them. We got a couple of Polaroid prints while we were there too. Very stoked}

And.

Did anyone else know that DINOSAUR JR. had signed with JAGJAGUWAR and have a new album, "Farm", due out in June?!

I mean way to have an all time classic favourite band get into bed with a modern all time classic favourite record label.

Can you imagine Black Mountain (or Pink Mountaintops) and Dinosaur Jr touring together??!

Am I late on this mindblowing concept?

Fuck.

This week has been insane for things happening every night. I don't even know if we can make it to this, but I might try. If not I'm definitely going to check it out on Saturday.

Mike Mills, Mark Borthwick, both signing and celebrating their new books. Insane inspiration this week.

Hadrads.

My goodtime girlfriend Joeseph Haddock (1995) is just now getting his online persona up to today's modern high-tech standards. Which means a real life website is COMING SOON. Joe sends me rad drawings when I ask for them. Joe: send me a rad drawing.

Lessons.

"What I do, which I have never let anyone know, is I close my eyes every time I have to do something practical apart from the daily chores everyone has, and then I picture how my father would have done it or how he actually did do it while I was watching him, and then I copy that until I fall into the proper rhythm, and the task reveals itself and grows visable, and that's what I have done for as long as I can remember, as if the secret lies in how the body behaves towards the task at hand, in a certain balance when you start, like hitting a board in a long jump and the early calculation of how much you need, or how little, and the mechanism that is always there in every kind of job; first one thing and then the other, in a context that is buried in each piece of work, in fact as if what you are going to do already exists in its finished form, and what the body has to do when it starts to move is draw aside a veil so it can be the person observing."

- Reading Out Stealing Horses, by Per Petterson.

By way of YET ANOTHER EXCELLENT FIND.

Postman.

A package just arrived for the apartments above the shop where I work. It's from the BACON OF THE MONTH CLUB, and it's definitely being cooled somehow.

Anyone care to explain?

21 Dreams.

My Friend Marcelo just recently sent me a few snapshots a friend of his took from a group show they both participated in in Hong Kong.

21 Dreams at the Old Baily Gallery.

{Marcelo's work looks like it would look amazing printed huge, framed and hanging on a wall... it's a shame Hong Kong is so far away}

Late Light.

GLEN ERLER.

{Just stumbled upon this guys stuff in the last few days and really stoked that I did. Amazing colours, and light. Makes me want to swim for some reason. Swim and take a nap outside. Makes me want summer to be even closer around the corner. It snowed this morning. Snow. I mean, really? It was fucking 60 Degrees out two days ago}

David Potes.

{D.P. Thanks for the good times, weird party vibes, poker talk, and healthy cooking advice. We should do it again soon. Thanks always to Adam, king of the internet, and of having people meet}

David Schoemer.

Unititled.

{Dude is awesome. This is awesome in general. It's weird, his Small Press is really inspiring, and he's pretty much the same age as me, and has worked with one of the people I have lined up for Sleeves. I think that's awesome. Probably weird, but awesome}

Colour Palette.

Killer Update.

{To be honest: it's been a while}

Heading to a photo show HERE tonight {Artists prints, drawings, books all $100 or less. Cash only}. Galleries in apartments/houses are the new galleries in converted storefronts/squats. Right by our apartment though. Limeades maybe? Who knows. A weird day.
