{Anyone who knows me or has seen our apartment will know the two photos in here, that best illustrate how we (want to) live}

Back.

{We just got back. A long few weeks. Expect plenty of content once I unpack, do some laundry, and catch my breath}

Michael Leon.

Silkscreen on Found Posters, by Michael Leon.

{The OG Rasa Libre was, for the most part, the last interesting skateboard company to me. Or at least the last one I really cared about. There was a two year period where their boards were all I skated. Anyway the mastermind behind the artwork and design was MICHAEL LEON and I've been a huge fan of his ever since. He had a great little show in London a few years ago, mid Rasa, and I was blown away with how he transformed a tiny little basement beneath a little skateboard shop. Still holding a torch}.

Family Portrait.

{ Fuck Vice. I've been trying to embed this documentary that Lance Bangs did on Family bookshop and Hope Gallery in LA, but it won't work for some reason. Anyway WATCH HERE. Behind the Scenes of Greatness by Lance Bangs. Awesome. I honestly couldn't be more stoked to have even the smallest amount of Sleeves product on the shelves at Family}

SPIRIT.

Fuck it. While I have some internet, I'm going to play some catch up...

HENRY ROY is a fantastic photographer, living in Paris, France I believe. HOBO relatively recently put out a great article on his work. Anyway NICHOLAS over at GOTTLUND VERLAG, who is constantly putting out amazing stuff, is working on a new book with Henry called SPIRIT.

Above is a "test print of Henry Roy's photo, 'Es Vedra Smoking (Ibiza 2005)' printed on the letterpress from a copper engraving by A&G. This print will be included in a special boxed version of the first 10 copies of 'Spirit'."

Well.

{I finally found some WIFI}

RAIN/OFF

On the SEDE website Juan mentioned that RAIN OFF in Australia are now distributing the last few issues of SEDE magazine. This is awesome because since RAIN OFF arrived on my radar a few months ago, I've been excited to see the work they're doing and the books they've been putting out.

One of the really great things they've done (and something I'm interested in seeing about replicating somehow somewhere... imitation/flattery etc...) was a temporary curated bookstore, that popped up in Darlinghurst, New South Wales for a few weeks.

The concept alone is great, but the execution was also perfect. I wish the store was a more permanent feature, and also somewhere a little closer to home
.

FOCO/MOLDE

{I got a great email from Juan yesterday, letting me know that not only has his MOLDE project been resurrected (and now with an English translation version), but he has also started an awesome new online project called FOCO that is updated each Tuesday with found items from the internet, and will feature different guest editors from time to time.

As always Juan is putting out really creative content featuring a whole host of interesting stuff. So spend a few minutes looking around them. Rumour has it that the wonderful magazine he put out SEDE will rise from the ashes somewhat, with a new name, layout and concept...

As the proud owner of almost every issue of the original run of SEDE I can say how happy I am to see what comes next...

... and speaking of Sede...(sort of)

Polo.

{Some of my favourite photo taking people are in this. It's a shame LA is so far away. Go if it's not far from where you are}
